The Big ONE!

That's right my sweet little angel Heidi turned one on September 8th. I can't believe she is one year old. I know I'm about 10 days late on this post, but a late post is better than no post right? As most of you know my family always goes camping on Memorial and Labor Day weeks. So we celebrated births while we were camping. We always have so much fun. I posted a few pictures of the Big Girls Big Bash. Heidi's own personal cake she ate just about all of it.
Man she really enjoyed her cake.

Singing Happy Birthday. Heidi loves to be the center of attention.

The clean up process after the cake eating.

Man she was covered in cake.

She sure loved her presents.

Here is a picture of the September birthdays in our family. Aren't they just precious.

Heidi is such a good girl. She is a little rotten but we wouldn't want her anyother way. She diffently keeps me on my toes. She is so much different than Emily was, Emily never got into anything and was basically a lump on a log. Heidi never sets still she is always on the go. She never stops until you put her in her bed then she kicks around in her bed so she won't fall alseep. She's walking around everywhere into everything, puts everything in her mouth. Maybe someday she will quit eating bugs. She is our little gift from God.
We love you Heidi Beth.

I'm Getting So Big!

Heidi is getting so big it makes me sad. She is really turning into a little stinker. She is into everything, and I mean everything. This little girl is on the go all the time. She just roams all over the house by herself (not like her big sister who wouldn't leave your side when she was a baby). I have a feeling she might be a climber. Where she is climbing on the sofa table. She just loves to clear everything over and climb on. She can't quite stand up but she was going to give it a try.
Mandy and I took her boys and Heidi to the water park a few weeks ago. This was Heidi's first time in the pool. Once she got used to the water she was loving it.

Isn't she the cutest Bathing Beauty?

Look at what I can do know. I can stand all by myself.

It won't be long before she starts walking (tear). I guess it's time to start thinking about another one :)

Let me set the scene....

Early morning, Bert had gone to work. I wake up to the sound of the dog barking. The only time I have ever heard Lucy (the dog) barking like this is when there was a snake in the flower bed. So I was thinking, crap there is a snake somewhere outside. I really didn't even want to go look to see but I had to. Our grass was really tall so I couldn't really see. I walked out on the deck to get a closer look. Finally, I see the thing move. My skin starts to crawl. I know I'm not going to walk out there and kill it with a shovel or something. Then comes the light bulb. "I'll shoot it with a shot gun" I go down stairs get the gun and 3 shot gun shells, go back upstairs hoping it's still there, because I can't just let it go, I have to kill it. Knowing it would still be alive somewhere outside just doesn't work for me. I go out on the deck hoping to get a clear view. I can see it but not too well. My first shot was a little short, the second hit it straight on, it's body flew up, and the third shot was insurance. I wouldn't walk out there to make sure so I had to wait for Bert to go check later that night. The funny part is the I did all this in just a t-shirt, panties, and barefoot. Good thing we live in the country with no neighbors. Why is it that the only time I have ever seen a snake at my house is when my husband is at work? The reason it's not exactly straight is because I took these pictures two days later. It's been sitting in the hot sun awhile.
When I shot the thing, I couldn't tell how big it was because of the tall grass. So when Bert held it up tonight I was a little surprised. It's bigger than I thought it was.

I couldn't post without putting a picture of my adorable girls. Both of these pics crack me up.

Birthday and Math Marathon

We have been so busy lately with dance, softball, soccer, and gymnastics I couldn't even find time to breath. Thank goodness 3 of the 4 are over with. Now just to focus on softball. In the last few weeks or I guess week we celebrated Emily's 8th birthday. Did I just say 8? Man how time flies. I can't believe it's been 8 years since hold that sweet bald baby girl. We haven't had a friend party yet because she would like to have one at the pool and it's still to cold during the first of the month, and plus no pools are opened yet. So we just celebrated with a few family members. Emily got to choose where we ate and of coarse she chose Mexican food her favorite. We had a great time just hanging out and enjoying each others company. Because I'm a slacker and didn't get a cake or anything she just had to settle of a sopapia (sorry about the spelling). But we did have the candles thanks to the hundreds Grandma Vena gave Mimi aka Becky.
The crowd watching Emily open a few gifts.

Emily got a hyper color shirt from my mom. I can't believe the things I use to wear are coming back into style. Come on the 80's and 90's fashion wasn't really that great. I mean it was fun but I just laugh at the things we use to wear.

Sammy boy is so cute he just puts a smile on my face all the time.

Emily is pretty cheesy sometimes.

Two blogs in one. Emily was chosen to be apart of a Math Marathon at her school. 12 students were picked out of the 2nd grade ruffly 70 kids. They have two rounds a speed and accuracy round. Poor Emily really isn't to speed at anything she does, but she did really well, she more than like would have won if she just could have hit that buzzer just a little faster. The accuracy round was a piece of cake for her. Over all she came in 3rd place. You can just say I am one proud mama.
This is Em during the accuracy round. You had to show your work and hold it up for the judges to see, and it had to be legible.

Getting ready to start the Marathon.

These are Emily's classmates the were also in the Maraton.

All the 2nd graders that competed.

My little math wiz.
Good thing everyone in the Math Marathon received and metal and trophy.

My heart was stolen (for the 3rd time)...

eight months ago today. I know I can't believe my baby is eight months old. Seriously where does the time go? Heidi is such a joy. I might of complained about her a lot in the first few months of life. But she has really turned out to be such an easy baby. Always happy and smiling at everyone. She is mobile now getting into everything, she has two teeth (good for biting big sister), and she can sit herself up. She will eat anything, and I mean anything. Big people for is no matter for this tiny tot. She still has to be on the really expensive formula, every time I try to switch her to Good Start Soy she just pukes it right up. I hope this doesn't mean we are allergic to milk. Just check out those baby blues. They just melt my heart.

Emily just turned 8 years old. Will hopefully post pictures soon.

My First Piggy Tails!

Heidi's hair is so long on top I just don't know what to do with it. It just seems to be growing and growing but the sides won't grow. Last night I put it in pig tails for the first time, and I must add she looks adorable. Now our Mimi just needs to make us a few tiny bows to put in them. Heidi just loves Sam. Here she is smiling at her Sammy Boy. I have a video of Heidi laughing at Sam, and When Emily attempts to make her laugh she just stares at her. It's pretty funny. I would put it on my blog if I knew how.
Heidi and Mimi. I just need to say what a great Mimi she is. She does so much for all of us. Yesterday she came to my house and put together Heidi's nursery. Yes I know Heidi is 6 months old and I just got her room done. That's pretty sad.

Here is a picture of three other rats. When the weather is nice the boys love to come play at our house. We have a huge pile of trees next to the pond that they love to climb on. If you can't tell last year we burned the pile a little that's why they are covered in black soot.

6 Months Old!

I can't believe my baby is six months old. Actually she was 6 months on the 8th. We go this Wednesday for her 6 mo check up. Well, I have been waiting on my sister to upload some pictures for me, but I got tired of waiting. I don't know what's taking her so long, it's not like she has anything else to do. Like take care of 3 small children :) So I am going to apologize for the poor quality of photos. I just took a picture with my camera of the pictures I have. So before you experience viewing pleasure let me tell you a little about Heidi Beth Luthi.

Although her first few months of life were pretty rough, she has really turned into a really good baby. She is such a happy girl always has a smile on her face. She loves her cousins, especially Sammy Boy. For some reason she thinks he is so funny and loves to laugh at him. She sleeps great. She is rarely fussy, but when she is you know it's time for bed. If for some reason she misses her nap she is still pretty easy as long as there is a lot going on around her. She loves to watch people and her surroundings. She is my little blue eyed blond hair gift from God. Okay now for the pics, this first one I need to explain. A must of you know my in laws own a Sow (pig) operation and my mother in laws birthday was this month so we took a picture of Heidi as a pig for her, and I must add she is the cutest little piglet I've ever seen.

This next one is my all time favorite I love close ups and she is just adorable.
Okay maybe I just love all of them because I really like this next one also.

Tonight we took a few pictures of Heidi in her bathing suits. She got a bathing suit as a present at the baby shower and I forgot about it and bought one this weekend, and it's a good thing because the one she got at the shower fits really well right now and will probably be to small by the time summer rolls around. Sorry about her hair it just sticks up everywhere and it's pretty curly on top.

Isn't she the cutest little bathing beauty you've every seen.

I love this bathing suit. That's why I bought it this weekend at Baby Gap.

I think Heidi like it too.

Heidi and her family wants everyone to have a great spring break.
